Entertainment Pitch Decks

As an associate producer with A+E Factual Studios (A+E Networks unscripted production studio) I've worked on the development and pitch deck design for over 100 original projects. This work helped me discover my love for visual storytelling and is, in part, what led to the sale and production of numerous series that now air on networks such as A&E, History, Lifetime, Oxygen, Hulu, Amazon, MAX, and Disney+.

My process for building decks starts with reading the text document, written and provided by the client, to understand the project's tone and mood. It’s up to me to interpret the written material and artistic vision into a well-designed series of images, paired with carefully laid-out copy. To gather my thoughts and establish direction, I first like to build a mood board with various images, textures, font styles and color palettes to inspire the client and provide multiple approaches. Once a direction is agreed upon, I dive into conceptualizing a powerful cover page and title treatment, I find that capturing this first sets the tone I will follow for the rest of the deck as I design outwards. While I work, I build out various approaches for each page to see which layout I like best, comparing them to the pages before and after to create a seamless flow. I'm always taking opportunities to test out new effects, artistic techniques, and looking up ways to achieve new styles I haven't done before. Once I establish a cohesive “look”, I find the rest of the deck comes to me easily. The final deck I deliver is the result of many hours spent seeking inspiration, collecting high-res images, playing around with textures, colors, finding the perfect fonts, editing content, and communicating with the client all along the way. I am proud of the volume of projects I've been able to work on and my level of efficiency and speed when it comes to delivering them on time to happy clients.
