Special Effects Makeup
Over the years, I've combined my high school and college skills in musical theatre makeup with my passion for Halloween to craft thrilling face paints for my favorite holiday. Typically when I see something that excites me, I am inspired to try and create it myself, so when I spotted the viral skeleton face paint circulating social media years ago, I was determined to give it a go! After completing that first look, I was charged to design more and have now turned my face paint experimenting into a new skill and tradition I look forward to completing each year.
Thanks to my "can do" attitude, I've discovered this passion for special effects makeup that has led me to design a range of looks for the spooky season I get a scream out of sharing with friends and family. What exciting new creation will I unveil next? I never know! Each face paint is done for the first time that day when I put brush to skin, I never practice the looks beforehand, so the finished products you see below are my first attempts. While I have done looks on other people before, I surprisingly find it easier and more enjoyable when I am just working on myself!
